Spring/summer 2022 collection – Coemi Lingerie

Why the warm season calls for a different nightwear edit

Rising temperatures change what the body wants at rest. The spring/summer 2022 line from Coemi-Lingerie addresses that shift directly, bringing together negligees, nightdresses, pyjamas, dressing gowns and loungewear pieces in a palette of delicate pastel shades. The common thread is not a single silhouette but a shared emphasis on freshness and lightness, achieved through the arrival of four particular fabrics: modal rib knit, linen, cotton voile and Tencel®. Each one allows air to move and keeps the surface of the garment from clinging in warm conditions.

Four materials that define this season’s comfort

Modal rib knit offers a soft, slightly elastic feel that follows the body without compression. Linen, by contrast, has a more open texture and a crisp coolness that becomes more pronounced as the night warms. Cotton voile sits at the lightest end of the spectrum, nearly transparent in hand, with a float that suits loose cuts. Tencel® rounds out the range with a smooth fall and a quiet drape that works especially well in longer nightdresses. None of these fabrics is interchangeable, and the choice between them should come down to whether you prefer gentle stretch, structured breathability, a barely-there layer, or a fluid line.

Reading the shapes before you choose

The range includes pieces that sit quite far apart on the body. A T-shirt-style nightdress in micromodal and lace gives short sleeves and a familiar, relaxed cut. A negligee with thin cross-back straps strips the silhouette down further, with the straps themselves becoming a visual detail across the shoulders. For a more covered but still light option, the short dressing gown in micromodal with lace on the cuffs functions as an easy top layer that does not add weight.

How to build a coherent warm-weather selection

Start from the fabric rather than the garment type. If you know that modal rib knit suits your nights, look for the specific pieces in that material and build around them. If linen is what you are after, prioritize the cuts that allow its texture to work: looser sleeves, shorter lengths, less structure rather than more. Then consider coverage. A long nightdress and a short robe can serve the same bedroom on different evenings, one offering a single layer and the other a removable one. Keeping the palette close — pastel shades from this season, for example — makes mixing feel intentional even when the pieces were chosen at different moments.
