Robes

Choosing a robe: the question of length

A robe is the first layer you reach for when the day's clothes come off, and its length sets the tone. The short dressing gown stops at the thigh or knee, offering a lighter presence for warmer rooms or for moving easily around the house. It works particularly well in micromodal, a fibre that stays airy against the skin. The long robe, by contrast, wraps the whole body and creates a more enveloping transition into sleep. Both silhouettes appear in this selection, so the decision is less about right and wrong than about how much coverage feels natural to you.

Materials that define the texture

Micromodal dominates the collection for a clear reason: the fibre is prized for its softness and its ability to remain breathable. A short dressing gown in micromodal with lace on the cuffs shows how the fabric can carry a delicate finish without losing its ease. Viscose offers a fluid drape and takes print beautifully, as seen in the blue-and-white floral options. Satin and tulle introduce a different register altogether: the floaty short negligee in tulle and white lace is a lighter, more transparent piece meant for a different moment than the everyday wrap.

Details that shape the fit

Sleeve design changes how a robe feels and moves. Loose-fitting, three-quarter-length sleeves, like those on the short dressing gown trimmed with lace, offer extra freedom around the wrist and a softer fall. Lace on the cuffs or along the edges brings a feminine finish without adding weight. A V-neck or open front allows the robe to sit cleanly over a nightdress or pyjama top. When comparing pieces, look at how the placket or belt is constructed, as this determines whether the robe stays comfortably in place or slips off the shoulder.

Building a coherent night wardrobe

The range pairs naturally with other nightwear pieces. A micromodal robe layers well over a pyjamas outfit in micromodal and lace, while a tulle negligee works as a standalone piece for warmer nights. The aim is not to match every item but to create a small set of layers that can be combined without friction. A robe should feel like a continuation of the room's calm, not an interruption of it.
