Body suits

Why a body suit earns its place in the nightwear drawer

For many women, the search for a body suit begins with a simple frustration: a top that rides up during sleep or a waistband that presses against the skin through the night. A body suit answers this by keeping the line of the garment continuous from the shoulders down. The piece stays where it should, without requiring adjustment. In a collection built around viscose and micromodal, this single-piece construction is particularly useful because these fabrics are chosen for their softness and their ability to follow the body rather than fight it.

The cut: what to look at first

When comparing body suits, the most useful starting point is the neckline. A deeper V-neck changes how the piece feels under a dressing gown or when worn alone, while a higher round neck offers a more contained line. The leg opening matters just as much as the top. Some styles are cut to sit low on the thigh and remain invisible under a short robe, while others extend further down the leg. The fit around the torso is the third point to check: a body suit should lie flat against the skin without dragging at the shoulders or pulling at the closure.

Fabric choices within the range

This category sits alongside pieces made in micromodal and viscose, two fibres that share a particular affinity with nightwear. Micromodal is prized for its smoothness and lightness, which makes it a natural fit for garments worn directly against the skin for hours at a time. Viscose brings a fluid hand and a subtle sheen. When a body suit combines either of these with lace, the lace is usually concentrated at the neckline or the back, where it adds a more decorative note without disturbing the clean line of the piece.

How a body suit works with the rest of the wardrobe

A body suit does not need to stand alone. It can be paired with a short dressing gown in micromodal for added coverage in the evening. It can also serve as a quieter base layer under a micromodal and lace T-shirt-style nightdress, giving the wearer the option of a second layer without adding bulk. Within the range, the same micromodal and viscose appear again and again, which means a body suit chosen in one of these fibres will sit comfortably alongside dressing gowns, pyjama sets, and nightdresses already in the drawer.

Details that change the feel

Small construction choices have an outsized effect here. Lace worked into a cross-back or along a neckline can make the piece feel more considered, but it also changes how the fabric behaves when the body moves. A body suit with thin straps will feel lighter on the shoulders, while wider straps distribute weight more evenly. The placement of the hem at the leg is another detail worth returning to. A cut that mirrors the natural line of the body will remain comfortable whether the wearer is seated, asleep, or moving through the house.

What ties all of these choices together is the same principle that runs through the wider collection: the garment should disappear into the experience of wearing it. The best body suit is not the one that announces itself, but the one that holds its shape quietly until morning.
